HOW DO YOU DEVELOP COLOUR AND MATERIAL COMBINATIONS ?
Colour and material are at the heart of my design approach.
My studio includes an extensive material library featuring acetate references from Italian and Chinese suppliers, alongside sunglass lens samples and metal plating finishes. I develop colour combinations using physical material samples, exploring how tones, transparencies, textures and finishes interact in real life. These selections are then presented through curated digital palettes and photographs of actual samples, helping you visualise the intended result before requesting prototypes. Working with real material references from the earliest stages allows for more accurate colour decisions, reduces uncertainty and helps limit unnecessary sampling rounds.
HOW LONG DOES AN EYEWEAR DESIGN PROJECT TAKE ?
Timelines depend on the number of styles, design complexity and level of development required.
A focused design assignment may take a few weeks, while a complete collection requires a longer schedule. Before starting, we establish a realistic timeline with clear milestones and deliverables.
I can also provide support during sampling and production, reviewing prototypes and helping communicate design adjustments to manufacturers.
